about

'A handful of words...' is the second album by The McSweeney Kings. All of the songs were written by Simon McSweeney, with the exception of 'One day', which was written by Peter McSweeney (with a bit of input from Simon). Andrew McSweeney features on guitar on a number of the tracks.

The recording was a transatlantic effort; the main recording took place at the Auburn Jam studio in Raynes Park, London. Backing vocals were recorded by Laura Burke in Boston, USA.

The album was recorded in two days in Sept 2013, followed by about three days of production; by Joe Davidson at Auburn Jam. Many, many thanks Joe!
